Experience
During my time as a teacher I have sought to develop new ideas, especially within my specialist subject area Fashion and Textiles/ Art and Design. Having taught Key Stages 3 & 4, and A level, I implemented strategies which resulted in a pass rate during my first year of 67%; I raised this to 100% in the AQA GCSE examinations in 2010, in 2011 my pupils pass rate was 80%. During an Ofsted inspection earlier this year I was praised for ‘very positive relationships with the pupils and a passion for the subject, which resulted in a clearly confident approach to questioning and answering’.
